International Livestock Research Institute and IFPRI for the purpose of Conducting Actionable Research would like to Invite Interested Bidders or a Survey Firm to Conduct a Follow-up Face-to-Face Survey through a Competitive Bidding Process

The CGIAR centers based in Ethiopia, mainly the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), are conducting actionable research to inform the rehabilitation and rebuilding of livelihoods in conflict-affected communities in Ethiopia. For this purpose, IFPRI and ILRI are planning to conduct relatively large household and community surveys covering about 3000 households spread throughout Ethiopia. For this purpose, IFPRI seeks to hire a survey firm to conduct a follow-up face-to-face survey through a competitive bidding process Thus ILRI invites interested bidders to submit their comprehensive Technical and Financial Proposals electronically to the secure email account no later than September 15, 2023. The subject line of the email should clearly state: “Research Proposal – Rehabilitation and Rebuilding of Livelihoods in Conflict-Affected Communities in Ethiopia”

Please ensure that your proposal adheres to the attached Terms of Reference (TOR).

Required Qualifications:

Interested bidders should possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting large-scale quantitative household and community surveys.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact and coordinate with collaborators and project partners.
  • Experience in the agriculture, rural development, nutrition, and/or food security field.
  • Proficiency in programming surveys and utilizing data entry and CAPI software packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining appropriate local administrative permits and approvals.
  • Established local presence and existing networks in various regions of Ethiopia.
  • Experience in collecting data in conflict-affected settings.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Value for money in providing services.
